Benjamin Durakovic (president) is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, International University of Sarajevo. His research interests include energy storage using phase change materials for passive building design, building energy efficiency, design of experiments, and data analysis. He has authored or co-authored four books and many research papers on the aforementioned topics and published in a variety of leading journals. He teaches courses at both undergraduate and graduate levels, and has participated in more than 20 R&D innovation projects with Bosnian and US companies. Dr Durakovic is actively involved as a reviewer for leading journals in the field and as a journal editor of Periodicals of Engineering and Natural Sciences, Sustainable Engineering and Innovation and Heritage and Sustainable Development.
Dr. Sci. Ena Kazic is an Assistant Professor at Faculty of Law of International University of Sarajevo, in the scientific area of Criminal Law where she teaches at both undergraduate and graduate levels. She completed her undergraduate and graduate legal studies, including her Ph.D., at the Faculty of Law of University of Sarajevo. She obtained outstanding success during the First and Second Cycle at the Faculty of Law of University of Sarajevo, as the best student in her cohort for what she received two golden medals. She continued her professional training in various types of seminars, international scientific conferences and work in practice. Her research currently addresses topics of sexual violence prevention and restorative justice. She was a coordinator of national project about application of restorative justice in Bosnia and Herzegovina and national consultant/expert for Bosnia and Herzegovina in the same field. She received several prestigious summer scholarships for scientific development abroad. Dr. Kazic co-authored several books in the criminal law area and is an author of many scientific papers. Currently, she is the member of Research Committee of European Forum for RJ and reviewer for several prestigious international law journals.
Ramo Palalić is an Assistant Professor at the College of Economics and Political Science, Sultan Qaboos University, Oman. His research interests include entrepreneurship, leadership, marketing, and management. Dr. Palalić teaches in the above listed areas at undergraduate, graduate and post-graduate study cycles. He is a Coordinator of Leadership and Entrepreneurship Centre (LEC) at IUS. Apart from this, he is actively involved in business projects in the areas of entrepreneurial leadership and marketing management, in private and public organizations. He has authored and co-authored many articles and books in the above areas with internationally recognized publishers. Additionally, Dr. Palalić is serving as the reviewer/editor board member in several international journals.
Ali Abd Almisreb obtained his PhD degree in electrical Engineering from Universiti Teknologi MARA-Malaysia in 2016, MSc in Computer Science from the same university in 2012 and Bachelor degree in Computer Engineering from Ittihad Private University-Syria in 2008. He joined the School of Graduated Studies-Universiti Tenaga Nasional-Malaysia as a Postdoctoral Researcher in 2017. Currently he is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering-Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences-International University of Sarajevo-BiH.
Jasmin Šutković was born on September 23, 1984. He received his BSc degrees in Biological Science and Bioengineering from International University of Sarajevo (IUS) in 2009, Master degree in 2014 and PhD in 2020. Currently assistant professor at IUS. Since 2010 until now he has been engaged in many lab-bases research projects that are resulted with number of publications in reputable journals. His administrative work is related to Research and Development Center. Since 2013 he has been engaged in various administrative positions in R&D Center and currently he is vice manager of the center.
Mirza Ljubović, MA was born on August 12th, 1988 in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. In 2014 he received the title „Master of Laws“ in the field of History and Comparative Law at the Faculty of Law of the University of Sarajevo. He is PhD Candidate at the Faculty of Law of the University/Sveučilište of Mostar in the field of Public International Law. From 2017 he has been appointed to the position of Senior Teaching Assistant in the scientific field of „State and Public International Law“ at the Faculty of Law of International University of Sarajevo. His areas of interest are Public International Law, Comparative Constitutional Law, History of Law and Philosophy of Law. He is actively participating to international scientific conferences and other scientific events for purpose of professional development. He is co-author of several scientific publications addressing topics of collective human rights
Hamza Preljević was born on August 14, 1991. in Brčko, Bosnia and Herzegovina. He got his bachelor degree in International Relations from the International University of Sarajevo in 2015, where he also defended his master thesis in International Relations in 2016. In period from March 2015 to September 2016 he was a demonstrator at the Faculty of Business and Administration, International University of Sarajevo. On October 2016 Mr. Preljević was appointed at the position of Senior Assistant at the Faculty of Business and Administration, Department of International Relations. He is an associate of the Balkan Studies Center (BSC), whose secretary he became in January 2019. Moreover, since March 2019 he also serves as Managing Editor of Epiphany – Journal of Transdisciplinary Studies – published by the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS). His areas of interest are the politics of Bosnia and Herzegovina, issues of Bosnian Muslims, Western Balkan studies, EU integration, and security studies – with an active research focus on various aspects of transatlantic relations and NATO’s relations with the Western Balkans. His referred journal articles and reviews have appeared in several internationally recognized publications, including Insight Turkey, Croatian International Relations Review, Journal of Muslim Minority Affairs and the European Journal of Cultural and Political Sociology. Also, he participated in several expert projects (drawing and constructing research studies, analysis and other project documents). Mr. Preljević taught on Diplomacy, Foreign Policy Analysis and the Political System of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and assisted on courses Politics in Europe, EU Sysetm, Political Geography and Geopolitics, and Security Studies. He participated in a significant number of seminars, summer schools, workshops and academic exchanges in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Slovakia, Sweden, France and Turkey. Moreover, he performed a number of administrative duties, and was involved in different committees and professional bodies of the faculty and university.
